Tom Thomson 2008 Wall Calendar | Tom Thomson Calendar : Wall : 2008 Tom Thomson (Canadian, 1877-1917) loved the northern Ontario wilderness. His exploratory artistic style and his appreciation of untamed nature helped shape the style of the Group of Seven-an association of like-minded painters who exhibited together after Thomson's untimely death. Thomson created hundreds of oil paintings while working as a guide and ranger in Algonquin Park. Many were executed in only a few hours but remain masterpieces of modern, distinctly Canadian art.
