Edward Hopper Calendar

Edward Hopper 2010 Wall Calendar

Edward Hopper 2010 Wall Calendar

Edward Hopper created thought provoking, hauntingly truthful art, characterized by a sense of alienated melancholy. His paintings have a consistent quiet power and tone of solitude—tension between the familiar and the vast unknown infuses all his pictures, even the most apparently domestic, with unexpected intrigue. He makes us think. He makes us feel. This 2010 calendar is produced by Graphique De France.
Edward Hopper Light & Darkness Calendar

Edward Hopper Light & Darkness 2010 Wall Calendar

Edward Hopper Light & Darkness 2010 Wall Calendar

This wall calendar features interiors, exteriors and landscape paintings by Edward Hopper. Hopper captured the alienation of man in modern urban society more than any other 20th century painter. Group of Seven 2010 Wall Calendar

Tom Thomson and the Group of Seven turned to the northern landscape for imagery that would imprint itself on the Canadian consciousness: depictions of the rugged, windswept forest panoramas of the Canadian Shield and vast expanses of lake and sky. The twelve works in this calendar are Franklin Carmichael's Silvery Tangle and Autumn Hillside; A. J. Casson's Jack Pine and Poplar; Lawren S. Harris's Above Lake Superior and Spruce and Snow, Northern Ontario; A. Y. Jackson's Aurora; Franz (Frank) Johnston's Where the Eagles Soar; Arthur Lismer's Rock, Pine and Sunlight; J. E. H. MacDonald's The Elements and The Beaver Dam; Tom Thomson's Marguerites, Wood Lilies and Vetch; and F. H. Varley's Tantalus Range. This 2010 calendar is produced by Pomegranate.
Gustave Baumann Calendar

Gustave Baumann 2010 Wall Calendar

Gustave Baumann 2010 Wall Calendar

For more than fifty years, printmaker and painter Gustave Baumann (1881 – 1971) captured the crystalline light and rich, soft colors of the American Southwest with subtlety and grace. He worked in gouache and watercolor, but his principal medium was the woodcut. This calendar's twelve woodcuts reveal the affectionate celebration of place by an artist who never lost his awe of the natural grandeur of his surroundings. This 2010 calendar is produced by Pomegranate.
Hopper Calendar

Hopper 2010 Wall Calendar

Hopper was an American painter whose highly individualistic works remain landmarks of American realism. Born in Nyack, New York, he studied illustration in New York City at a commercial art school. About 1901 he switched to painting and studied at the New York School of Art.

Hopper's early paintings were characterized by simple, large geometric forms, flat masses of color, and the use of architectural elements for their strong lines. In 1925 Hopper painted House by the Railroad (Museum of Modern Art, New York City), marking the advent of his mature style and conveying an atmosphere of all-embracing loneliness. This 2010 calendar is produced by teNeues.
