Tiffany 2008 Mini Wall Calendar | Tiffany Calendar : Mini Wall : 2008 Louis Comfort Tiffany (1848-1933) was the son of Charles Lewis Tiffany, founder of the famous jewelry firm Tiffany & Co. A talented artist and designer, he took after his father, being skilled in jewelry design, as well as ceramics, enamels, and metalwork. However, he was most keen to develop his glassmaking skills and is therefore best known for his beautiful stained-glass designs for windows and lamps.
Inspired by the ideals of the English Arts & Crafts movement, he used opalescent glass in a variety of colors and textures to create the stunning range of jewel-like Art Nouveau designs that can be seen in this calendar, complete with glittered pages. Extracts of complementary poetry have been selected to enhance each month's image. This 2008 calendar is produced by Flame Tree Publishing in the category Tiffany calendars. |
